Mute Big Button

Hi.

Has anyone come across a program for the P800 which will provide a single big button on the screen (flip open) to Mute and unmute the phone.

I do a lot of conference calls, and being able to just poke at one button on screen to mute and unmute would be a lot safer in the car than focusing on multiple small buttons to press to do the same thing would be a cool thing.

Cheers,

Stoogie.

Why don't you just press "c" and hold it until the phone changes into silent mode? I use that all the time and could not think of a better solution.

Sounds reasonable, but the key issue is that its for conferencing... Having a tone going down the line while I try and get it to mute is not really good for a) listening to the conversation b) others on the conference call.

The idea would be to have a single button that just toggles mute and unmuted without any audible tones to others on the call.

Thanks for the info though! 😊

hey guys, are you talking about the same thing here? :-?

The original request is to Mute your voice while on your call - as I understand it. The reply was that you could hold down the "C" key, doesn't that simply put the phone into Silent mode (no beeps, alarms etc.)???

In any case, I also lots of conf calls, and in the car find that I need to hit the Application button (top right), and hit the numeric key to mute, then I pop the same menu up again in case I need to unmute to speak.

Lonnie
