This came up on the ticker on the three.co.uk website:
'Important update for all e606, 808 and 920 customers. Change to grid on 15th September.'
They don't give any more info so I think it must be bad...
My reasons for this:
1) They claim its important
2) They don't explain what the Fek they are talking about
3) Its on a ticker, so nobody is likely to see it.
Does this mean that it is something that they are going to do and legally need to have made us aware? (No matter how crap the public announcement)
Anybody got any ideas???
PS I got myself an A920 a few days ago - thumbs up from me (At least when a decent get-around for unsigned apps is figured out)
Well its still on the news ticker, and I still don't have a clue. Maybe its that obvious nobody can be bothered to enlighten me...
Please, anybody - what are they on about? Is it good or bad for my A920?
The only thing I can think of is the services menu
anyone know whats happening with this yet, my phone still works ok.
The only thing i can think is they seem to be customising the services menu so u can pick and choose what icons u seen on the home page (as in the A920 manual) but it states this service is not avaible until the 16th. Could this be what they are talking about ?
That sounds like a plausible reason. I didn't realise that service wasnt available yet (I've been too busy working on another problem with the phone). I'd like to think that the phone would still be working after the update! I wish they would just use laymans terms with these 'important' announcements...
