Changing the sound played when taking a picture?

maybe it is possible...i've not tried though...will try it..
but yes if u have set a totally silent profile then the sound is off also.
maybe u can copy that sound(using e-file manager) & paste it to another folder & even use that as a ringer.
will try it out.

Its easy: If I set the profile on "silent" (with factory settings) the camera is silent too ...

well thats kewl but what if you just want the camera noise off !

I have SeleQ on there , could i fdo it with that and how , if any knows i would be grateful 😉

use the program named PHOTOGRAPHER, you can change the taking picture sound, but it has 3 presets plus the silent one. it is the same with CameraFX but BETTER

As long as you turn off the Warning tones, the camera will not have sound when you click

Well you can just disable the warning tones, but the camera sound is in the ROM, it is under Z:\System\sounds\digital the name is camera1a_2_8khz

but there is also a wav file in the same directory with the name No_sound :-?

ROm is read only, but the alarm tone is read only too, and e profiles had a way to change the alarm tone, could they silence the camera sound without turning off the warning tones? and what's that No_sound file :-?

(this post is for the ones who REALLY want to get rid of the camera sound permenantly without losing the warning tones, for covert operations in the downtowns of their cities 😉)

Well im all for giving this camera sound the boot!!! [Goes nicely with my infrared torch giving covert ops a new level with the 7650] I have really want rid of this camera sound [along with proximity sensor... thinking of de-solder'ing that little blighter] SO... Lets get rid of this little HORRID camera sound guys!!! ANY ideas? [not de-soldering the ROM]

It would be good if this could be included as a future feature of extented profile 😊 I hate the sound so have warning tones switched off all the time, not having warning tones on doesnt bother me but its a pain in the ass having to keep enabling them to play a java game with sound, then forgetting to disable them and only realising once the shutter sounds as you take a sneaky pic ,)

Selecting silent mode makes no difference (for my phone) and even selecting turning off all warning tones makes no diff, i can however select from four different retard sounds each as bad as the other (found in camera options when you go to take a pic"

you would think if you selected a profile called "silent" that would mean your phone is "silent" but no, for nokia that makes too much sense,
