fantastic product, works a treat in the car, i will not get lost again while driving : )

there is no interactive map at the moment but should be available in the next few days...is there anything the super p800 can't do?? 😃

www.wayfinder.com

I've been researching the Wayfinder for my P800 and I was glad to hear it has worked for you. The maps for the U.S. wont be available until later in the year so I have held off purchasing one. One question, how do you mount your P800 in your car? I have searched high and low for a cradle that plugs into the cigarette power socket and charges the phone (a la Navigator or CCM hands free cradles) I have seen some passive cradles and vent mounted cradles but nothing that mounts in the cigarette lighter.

Also, is there any way you can post a photo of the unit in operation in you auto?

Thanks,
Pacrtg

i use a air vent mounted bracket from expansys uk, and just a normal lighter charger (retractable)...i forgot to add, that it may be a little difficult at times to hear the voice instructions using the phones speaker, so i would suggest either a headset or a car kit.

will try to get a photo soon(ish).

Hey Rai

Sounds interesting - I was looking at these yesterday.

So am I right in thinking the voice commands come from the phone on the built in loudspeaker?

Another thing - my company won't fork out for GPRS. Will the service run on GSM?

Cheers
Kav

yep, the voice comes from the phones speaker phone...not very loud but still good, ( actually i was wondering if i could get the voice commands to come out of my bluetooth headset but as yet dont know how or if poss..) and yes it also runs on dial up accounts just incase you dont have gprs.

i highly recommend it...also, the company keeps updating the software with new graphics for the maps etc.
