Just like to pass on my respect to Rafe (and any others involved) for the work that has taken place. I know only too well the enormous amount of work that this sort of thing takes, generally without much in the way of thanks or support.
Without this website, I'd still be trying to work out how to plug my P800 into my BT landline!

I'd just to like to say thank you to you for saying thanks and reading AAS. 😊 You're right it does take a while. Watching 100k + posts gets transferred is worse than watching paint dry!
The funs not over yet as I'm continuing updates through out the day.

2 questions about the updated forum:
Why can't we use the old avatars (it says the size is too large 😕 ) It had taken me quite some time to make that gif in the right pixel-size 😡
And as "Custom User Text" I used my old, "Honoured Forum Elder", but the word Forum ends up as ***** 😱 Why?

Surely, the changes from using php forum engine to vBulletin takes a lot of work and thought put into AAS. Really admire Rafe and AASmanagement team.
AASis one of the best source for Symbian community in the whole wide world.

Delta I'm not sure why you are getting that on the custom text - I'll have to look into it.
As far avatars - well I still thinking about restrictions on them. The truth was in the last forum they were getting a bit out of control. They were serisouly affecting download times, and I've had several complaints about them.
I'm sorry you dont like the upgrade / change yet, but there is more to come so I hope to change your mind 😊
In the mean time if you say what you dont like / preferred in the old system I'll do my best to change it.

I did my avatar using ACDSee and simply reduced the pic size to 50x50 pixels. It was dead easy. Nice tractor, isn't it?

Thanks for the tip! But does it also work with animated gifs? I mean, I can edit a gif in "Paint" as well, but then the "motion" goes out of the gif.
But since the size of the avatars is that small, I don't think I will take the old one. Try to find a suitable new avatar😎

Most likely because u have more then 500 posts 😉 Honoured Elder
The reason it is shown as **** is because the word forum is in the block list so you can't type Forum Admin or simlar, but I will remove that for you.
Well, I have removed the word forum from the banlist but it still appears to be blacked out.
I reccomend re-typing it from your User Control Pannel
I there an option to see my posts and replies to them, like before the update? I can see only link "View new posts".

1. I'm an absolute amateur with software and computers.
2. I'd like to buy the P800 to use it with my mac: 800mhz G3 Powerbook.
3. I'm not prepared to spend 2 weeks fidling, and to download &^&*loads of software to make this combination work.
Should i go shopping for the P800 tomorrow morning?

I think there is an equivalent in the Use CP, but I'll add a link to front page in due course.

I love it, good job, clean and fast.
It did take me a long time before I learned to log in but that's okay😃
Just a suggestion regarding the site.
How about putting a Log Out button next to the home button so people can log out from anywhere on the forum instead of having to go the front page and scrolling down to the bottom to find the button.
The forum LOOKS REALLY great, a modern look. Very cool. And by the way thanks for all the hours i didn�t spend trying to understand P800... i learned in the forum. From a big fan from Portugal.
