I'd like to make a few HTML web pages for the P800 (default browser).
Just wondering if someone could point me at a guide.
Or perhaps let me know some things:
Suitable page dimentions.
Image size and quality.
What sounds are supported by the default browser.
What HTML can I use e.g text colour, background colour, marquee, text boxes, buttons, metarefresh.
Any other stuff you can think of that I can get away with.

It should do most HTML stuff, the only thing it wont do for certain is frames. 😃 😃

Whitepaper should tell you that, maybe even the manual?

I've just had the firmware upgraded to R2F and the internet browser will now support frames. It's not great like, it opens a menu and gives you the option of which frame to load into the main page. Still, better than nothing!
Yeah I got that firmware version too.
Was ruling out frames completely though.
I did think I could use it as a sort of menu as it would be quick to load. hmm.
I thought about this as well, really a very simple table will do the job, and using some really compressed and optimised PNG grapics could render a simple home page, and you would want to do this in InterDev or Notepad, 'cos any of the commercial page builders will dump so much junk onto the page.
It is worth loading an trying Opera before you do this, because once I started using that, I really can't think of what I would put on a dedicated homepage for the P800 other than a "Hello Me" message.
Interesting thing i discovered, not that major but quite cool. I was bored on the bus yeterday and decided to change my startpage, i downloaded jtext and using that a nd filemanager sucsessfully did some html editing! So if you are out and about and feel like making something, you can! Now ognna make a more impressive start page, all on the P800 of course! 😃
