Bluetooth use a lot battery ?

If I let activate the bluetooth in the 7650, do you think it will use a lot of battery ?

I keep my BT on all the time on my 7650, and don't notice a major decrease in battery time.

As I only connect through BT to a Mac, the only time the link is active is when sending Data. I am not sure how using with PC (mRouter) reduces battery life.

But as I maybe soon going to get an extra BT adaptor to use with PC, I would also be interested to know the results of battery life connecting via BT to a PC.

I find that Leaving BT on does not affect Battery at all. Funny I used to leave my Phone connected to PC via Infrared which did use battery life and Now I use a BT USB adapter which I got from ebay for about 25 and liek you say just uses battery when sending and recieving.

However make sure to disconnect your GPRS connection when not is use as this suck the energy, also if spending lots of time in an area with low connection rate either GSM or GPRS then maybe even switch phone off as this drains the bettery too.

I also had another problem with my phone thinking the battery was dying on as it was only lasting about a day and needing charging again however I just replaced my 7650 for a brand new one and using the same battery the life of it is back to normal - interesting!

That is the famous/infamous battery fatigue problem. It was common for the first bach of commercial 7650 models.

I had problems with BT refusing to work + Battery only lasting 3/4 of a day on my 7650, took it to NSC and had firmware update.

Now BT works again and battery lasting 1.5 days, very happy again.

Thats quite interesting about people sending things when you dont knwo them...Quite often when I am on the train I try this but no one ever picks up the request.

I went to a Mobile show a few months ago and searched for local BT devices and was mesmorised as I had never picked up so many in such a small area - I found it amusing what people had called there phones....
