I ahve downloaded the demo of this software to use to control my hifi and tv etc but i cannot get it to work .

Has anyone here managed to get this working It would be really useful for me to use this.
If you have can you post detailed step by step instructions , i find the Psiloc site quite unhelpful to do this

Cheers in ADVANCE

I have this on the 7650 and it works fine but I too downloaded the trial for my freinds P800 and had little luck - even using the same device to control......

Try again but stay at maximum 1 meter from your TV.
I am sorry this sounds stupid but it worked for me 2 days ago. I removed the program from my p800 since then.
I am glad I tried first the demo before buying it.
Good luck.

It is also important that you're straight in front of the device (not from a certain angle), it works better this way

actually as spacecat said, I also tried the demo many times, different ways, different devices, and none worked with any.

I have a device that shows a light signal whenever a remote control sends an IR signal even if it's not related to it, and I used it as a testing device, but got nothing. and I'm sure my p800's ir is working fine, so is there's any special settings to make it work? or at least to get a signal out of my mobile?

A good way of testing the signal is any digital camera, including phone ones. They will show a blue light if its transmitting 😊

When i use it i have to hold the button down or press it rapidly for my tv to respond 😊

have to do some rapid pressing..

anybody found it usefull?

I noticed there are two versions, Ir remote control and Total Ir remote control. The difference being that total can learn extra commands. The latest version seems a lot more responsive, i used it last night to channel hop durning adverts when i dropped my remote and couldnt be bothered leaning down to pick it up....😉
It worked fine on my toshiba tv, i tried it on a panasonic and if was a lot slower, but the seem to be less responsive anyway, always take a long press off their own remotes anyway. I wonder if the kit you are trying to command is part of it?

I was using TotalRemote, and was trying it on a Philips TV, and a Samsung Combo DVD/VCR
worked on Philips, but need to press many times to get a reply.

also tryed to get it learn some commands, but no luck 😞
