I currently have a 7650, which I want to upgrade soon. I want to stay on the S60 platform, and was wondering if anyone knows any new S60 phones coming out that are worth looking into. I would prefer to stick with Nokia.
Any Ideas?

Soon to be released: Nokia 6600
Ohhhhh thats NICE, perfect for what i wanted, now the hard one, does it support BT audio or is it like the 7650 and data only do you know?
It DOES support BT AUDIO PROFILE.
Audio is MONO though.
I'd love a 6600...
How about an n-gage.....http://www.n-gage.com/R1/en/home.html
How about the Siemens SX1.
I know its not a Nokia but it does use Nokia series 60 UI, so you already know how to use it and all your apps. On the 7650 would work on the SX1 plus it also has
I am a bit of a Nokia whore, and that 6600 fits me perfectly. I have spoke to Orange (UK) and they confirmed they are looking at the phone for addition to their range, WOOHOO
Anyway, as usual, a quick, and spot on answer has been offered.

IMO,the SX1 is the best option,if only Siemens would stop delaying its release.
Would N-Gage's symbian platform be able to replace the 7650? (Except for the camera function)

SX1's keypad layout is nice, but not functional just like the 3650's....

It seems pretty difficult to adapt.. think I will look out either for the N=gage or 6600 ot 3200.
The n-gage and the 6600 are good option but the 3200 is just a regular Series 40 phone.

Nokia 6600😎
think ill hang off for the p900
looks sweet
Same here,i think UIQ suits my need better.
There are great Series 60 smartphones but UIQ devices have a stronger PDA side which for the time beeing is what i need.
Its funny becuase for years I wanted a PDA but could never really justify the cost on what is effectively a calculator and calendar and all the other bits a phone can now do but without making phone calls (apart from some) and you get the big downside - the size of the device.
This is what I think lets the P800 down is that it is too much the bad things of a PDA and not enough of the good things.
The good thing about the other symbian devices is that they make task that a PDA used to perform simple and fit into an easy to handle phone.
The early software versions of the P800 were flawed soo much and if a device trying to be a PDA cant hack the reliability test then its already failed I am afraid, I mean I know no other device which will self format once its decided the memory is full (even Microsoft operating systems are more forgiving than that!) and I am guessing that being a PDA replacement you will be holding lots of important info on it....
but its a tough choice I admit it - Home Computer - work computer - Laptop - PDA - Mobile - Living Room PC - Independant Hard disk recorders, - DVD writers - Bluetooth this - Bluetooth that.....I think the choice can only be made by what you feel more comfortable with as I dont think anyone in the world has enough time to truely test all these devices against th elifestyle they lead......
Pasa
True that.But,like i said,UIQ PDA-like device suits me best.
BTW: Remeber 7650 and firmware version v 3.12?
Yep only just got rid of it - I take your point its all in the eye of the beholder - I am sure that most agree a certain amount of love connection happens between a person and their phone...
And it's not just personal taste, but dependant on the unit you get. I have had a P800 since the UK launch, have never updated the firmware, and it's only ever crashed once! In eight months of continuous use, I think that's pretty impressive!
The missus got a 7650 in July and I can never call her on the damn thing 'cause it keeps losing it's network connection and, unless she constantly checks it and notices when the signal indicator has dropped off and reboots it, it's useless (getting the firmware updated when we go to Glasgow in November)!
And Yet I know people that have had endless problems with P800's and those that have never had a problem with their 7650!
