Dear all,

After countless sleepless nights, boxes of cigarettes and so many trials and errors, I present my own tutorial / guide on how to encode videos to MP4 to be played on P800 / P900.

You all can read the article HERE.

More coming soon.

Thanks and best rgds

Chip you are a genius.

Your custom settings for Mpegable are a distinct improvement over the default PX00 profiles.

If only it could convert from QT .mov files it would be perfect - as it is, I have a two stage proccess using QT Pro to convert the .mov files my digital camera produces to .mpg then mpegable to make it suitable for the P900. (mind you another solution would be for Minolta digicams to produce .avi's like everyone else)

The P900 is a perfect use for the small and short clips produced by digital cameras.

Having a video of your wife and kids certainly trumps work colleagues with snapshots in the wallet 😃

Dear Terry 1100,

You can use Sorenson Squeeze to convert from .MOV to .MP4 directly. I have described the process in my second article. You can have a look at the link above.

IMHO, Sorenson Squeeze produces better result videowise and soundwise.
