Hi guys n gals,
I have an upgrade offer on t-mobile to get the p800 for 120. The only problem is that this offer will run out on october the 11th. Therefore i have a dillemma. I have a 7650 curently and was gonna wait for the p81/p900 or the sx1. But alas time is runnig out (everything it seems is running out 😞 ) So what do i do???
I havnt played with the p800 but im sure it is a good phone from all the reviews. But with it being nearly a year old ( i think 😕 ) i dont know what to do. I just want to know whether it is a wise option to get it?
thanks in advance
Amre
Yeah. This is a toughie. A close mate is in the same boat. Thing is with mobies, they move on so fast. I'd say wait until the 810/900 comes out. I suspect that its release will mark the discounting of existing P800 stocks anyway so the discount you're currently eligible for, won't really be relevant. I can tell you without reservation that the P800 is in a different league. I haven't regretted a moment of ownership. The only thing I really think is absent is predictive text (which I hope will be incorporated within the new model), but the graffiti input and the virtual keyboard are dead easy to use anyway. You won't regret a P800.
I agree with rb16, P800 is the best phone I've evere owned, and it has all features needed and more.
but if u fancy having digital pics with youe mobile, and like watching them on it's screen, then I recommend waiting for the P900.
actually, there are no big changes have been made in it's hardware, only the UIQ change that allow you to have text over images.
so it's your choice ...😉
thanks alot guys i really appreciate your input. i just got the p800 went down to carephone warehouse and have one in my hands...........mmmm this thing is amaaazing... one question though. why doesnt it turn on??? do i have to fully charge it first shouldnt it work on a charger????
Hellpppp
Sorry if this is a stupid question
Thanks again....
P.s i havent read the manual.... yet
maybe i should 😕
Keep the "on" button (on the side of the phone) pressed for more than one microsecond! Although I'm sure you will have sussed that by now. I didn't bother charging it fully before I used it - was too impatient! And I still get great battery life.
i can still remember the time my p800 came through via courier, aahhh, what a wonderful day it was
not to forget T9 predictive messaging .. bundled camcorder application .. cant remember what else ..

a lot of the apps are just personal preference, the most important ones in my opinion is the day and week view programs, like handy day, tracker or active desk, these all have the same purpose but it's just a matter of preference which one you prefer, the rest of the apps are just more ways in customizing the phone to your liking.
agre with u nk8, but don't u remember the first day u got ur p800?
I couldn't stop installing softwares to try on my phone, and trying more and more, without knowing which is usefull and which is not!

as for T9 Lang. well, don't bother nothinng till now supports T9 for SE P800, hopefully some day one good programmer will c our misery, and do us a good software for T9 (btw, P900 supposed to have T9, so we might get it work in the P800 after all) 😊
