So, to enhance the battery, you have to press the same key-combination, as when you want to turn EFR on??

Anyway, thanks for the info (might try some of this out on my grand-mothers 3310😃 )

**3370# Activate Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR)-

Your phone uses the best sound quality but talk time is reduced my approx.5%

The phone negotiates the best codec it can use with the network anyway, so from the default situation you have as you get the phone from the shop, this doesn't help you in any way whatsoever.

It is not possible to activate the Nokia Reserve Battery as we cannot type in the " " (the double quote symbols) that is necessary for doing it.

Please let me know if there is an alternate way or how to type in the double quotes...!!!

Dont type the " " ... type *#3370# without the double quotes...

how do u check the private call? when do i put in the code? before, during, or after the call?

kishor wrote:*#0000# Displays your phones software version,

The 3rd line is the Nokia model number and has nothing to do with any kind of compression whatsoever. E.g., the 7610 is model RH-51, and 6600 is NHL-10, etc.

If you're referring to *#30# above, then it if my memory serves me right, it is a network/operator feature that not all operators support.

I recall that (with operators that support it) you can use it so that if you have your own number sending disabled/withheld/off, you can put this sequence in front of a number that you call, and the the recipient will get/see your number even if otherwise sending of your number is disabled/withheld.

And even with those, you will not see anybody else's private numbers, if they don't want you to see them. There are no public or "secret" codes that make that possible.

It is confusing in Kishor message *3370# will use reserve battery, but this will activate EFR and reduces talk time by 5%. Shoud we have to deactivate EFR and activate Half Rate codec to get more talk time? Pls clarify..

*#30# Lets you see the private number

the request one doest work, it just says request not completed on my phone.

What does the *#30# one do exactly, i tried it and it sais, number of caller is shown, does this mean that if someone withholds their number when they call me, i can see it?

I tried to explain that above (and I just edited it to also use the term "withhold" to make it clearer).

Someone help me pls..............
I write *#30# and is tell me number of caller is show, but i can't see who is calling me with private number, I can't see his number, when i must type the *#30# ????
and see the number ???????????????? someone help me please,i can't understand
(help pls) how i can found the private number ??????

As I tried to explain: It will *NOT* help you see somebody else's number. With some operators it might help them see *YOUR* number when you call, if *YOUR* number is otherwise being withheld (by a setting in your phone, or by the operator).

There are *NO* "secret", "semi-secret" or public codes that will let you see sombody else's private/withheld number.

If it is withheld at the operator, then they or any directory service should say it is unlisted and not give it to you.

The only thing you can do is to ask the person to tell you their number (or ask them to send you a text message from the number).

hi casper
I agree with you

if this secret battery life is intended for users for emergency situations - nokia will not keep it a secret unless they want the secret battery power of their users 😉

I cannot reset the call cost counter on my nokia 3310 phone; this is a big problem because i cannot make more calls as the upper counter limit is reached. I need a special code for reset the this contor or the pin2 (but without using the standard menu - it not works)
