Ok i think im being a bit dim here. Im after getting some memory for my nice new N-Gage, now ive rang around and asked about and the camp is split.
The shop fraternity say i cant get hold of the erlevant cards and the ones they have arent compatible.
The users of similar devices (or experts as they are known !) reckon any or most mmc cards should work in the N-Gage.......
..............HELP !!!!!!!!!!
I bought a 128MB MMC from expansys.com (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=MMC-128MB) and it works perfectly. Copied over the information from the 32MB MMC that came with the N-gage, restarted and everything was available on the 128MB MMC.
Cheers

nice one, thanks for that. funnily enuff thats who i was looking at buying one from. that was until i foned em yesterday and the guy on the fone said none of em were compatible !
guess cos its new they dont really know.
thanks again mate.
any multimedia memory card shud work in the ngage. you just hav to format it before you use it.
SAbz
one other query whilst im at it,
i copied a few ringtones to the nokiagame memory card yesterday and cant seem to access em, will i have to save ringtones to the fone memory rather than a card ????
TIA
another unfortunate error of the phone is that it doesnt allow access to the memory card without using a third party app. try downloading eFilemanager from www.my-symbian.com
you shud be able to access them then.
hope this helps

Memory card access on the N-Gage works fine from "Images", "RealOne", "Scr.shot", "Music", "Apps.", "Manager" ( at least for me ). In any case, FExplorer is the one to get ( from
http://www.gosymbian.com ).
sorry i was a little brief in my explanation. when i first got my phone i couldnt access any .sis files on the memory card from the phone. so i d/l'd efilemanager via wap.

On the device I have (with firmware v3.30) I can use the Tools -> Manager app, and I can see & install .sis files from the MMC (put in the MMC root from a PC using the USB cable connection).
Nokia supports max 128 MB MMC's so most 128 MB MMC's should work. For higher capacities(256 and 512) you can try www.tecic.com.tw if you know some Thai 😉
Their News page is in English

No. SD cards do not work. Only MMC cards do.
Its safe to say that 128 MB MMC's do work with the N-Gage.
I am using a N GAGE QD with a 256Mb MMD card, its working fine.
There is a problem with the Bluetooth, the Nokia PC Suit isnt detecting the device(Cell Phone), and all the data is going to the cell phone memory by default, so can some one help me out?
