After viewing Bookcrossing.com which was mentioned by LAuRA in an earlier post, I was entigued by the EuroBookCrosser's Diary #1 and during a chat with LAuRA decided to set-up an AllAboutSymbian Journal.

The book has now been set-up and will soon be on it's way to LAuRA!

If you receive the book you can add something in writing about yourself, poems, or whatever you wish to pen.

Also you can add Photos, Pictures or clippings like a scrap book! (i've added a postcard and some clippings from 7650 manual and box (from first 7650)).

To start off with will be sent to Mods, Long term (At least Year) and high posting (250+ posts) members of AAS.

If you would like to get book, send me (Gadget17) a PM and will add you to list, and don't forget to add your details to the BookCrossing.com journal log!

Within reason anything, excepting anything Rude or Crude! 😃

Do you want to add something to it GD??

The AAS Journal has made it to LAuRA in Finland, and will shortly we winging it's way to GhostDog in Macedonia.

Hopefully will be back to me for an AAS Pub Meeting in November (Date to be confirmed) where we will get some attendees to complete, before continues it's journey with JadeViper and Ewan!

Mailed.

I was wondering, could we somehow get images of all the new pages uploaded somewhere? I mean I probably never get to see the book again so I won't ever see anything that's written there. I took photos of the pages I created and also of the pages Gadget17 had written. I turned them into pdf's now but they can be made into anything really. It could be a password protected site or... I dunno. Attachments here need to be smallish... What do you guys think?

I'm happy to donate space / chnage attachement setting / create FTP accounts as necessary.

Any chance of a Mention (as I started the journal) on the Waffle diary or even access to Waffle there?

But a great Idea to have a Waffle Blog! 😃

Edit:- Nevermind, I believe I have access to post! Thanks!

You have to get hold of the book before you can write anything in it. After you've written your entry there, you can post something in the Symbian Diaries site. A bit complicated but... 😃

Gadget17 has the list of people who want the book. I don't know how many there are so far 😊

Orophin, anyone can post comments on the Journal Blog, you need to be set up with a username and password to make posts though.

I just received the Journal!I will need couple of days to take some photos and figure out what to write about. Then its off to Vikki and Ewan!

Thanks for the postcard Laura,i really liked it!

Haven't seen/heard anything about the journal in a while. Has it been lost or something?

Ewan has it and he's being crap. Everyone send him a PM and perhaps that'll hassle him into doing something with it 😛

I think Ewan still has it. Should be impressive when he's done. 😊

Hey Ewan, you could maybe include a write up about that Tetris programme.

Or maybe just a work-in-progress snapshot / sneak preview of the upcoming phenomenal artistry it will have (it must be phenomenal as it is taking so long to create). 😉 😊

One additional month has passed without any visible actions.

If Ewan hasn't come up with anything to put in the journal by this time, maybe Jadeviper should make him sleep on the couch until we can observe some action. 😉

Seriously, it's not fair to let the expecting public wait this long!

GhostDog sent the Journal onwards last August.

In January, 5 months later, I posted asking about its whereabouts: Nothing.

February: Nothing.

March: Nothing.

April is soon over: Still nothing.

Close to eight months with no activity: :icon13: :icon13:

:hmpf: Obligatory monthly complaint: Ewan has had it now close to 9 months with no activity. That's so sad. Soooo sad.

Obligatory monthly complaint: Ewan has had the AAS Journal now for about 10 months with no activity.

Are you going for a full year, Ewan, or have you lost the journal?

It'd be much nicer if you just told everyone if you are ever going to do something about it or not, don't you think?

Ewan has had the AAS Journal for about 11 months with no activity whatsoever now.

Coming up next month (unless something changes): 1st anniversary of inactivity.
