I've been using Projekt in demo mode for the past few days and in many respects this is an excellent program. It allows me to build heirarchal, structured lists to replace the random collection of notes that I had in Jotter. The interface is easy to use and the links to tasks and contacts very useful.
The bad news is that it crashes a few times a day. I suspect that its caused by the demo reminder timing out while the app is in memory but not active. Unfortunately, Kylom don't answer their support emails and I'm faced with a problem - Do I pay for a program in the hope that the full version won't crash?
The other question is - Do I buy software from a company that doesn't provide support? One of the great things about the P800 platform is the high level of support I have received from most software developers. Should we avoid people who don't offer this support?

that's the best cusotmer support I've ever seen 😃
but guess u still need to answer his inquiry, kylom 😊
Kylom,
I've sent off some more emails to the two addresses I have: support @kylom.com and
Meanwhile, since we have a communication channel here, I'll explain the problem.
The program crashes when I select it after it has not been used for some time. I get the grey screen of a program launching for what seems like a long time (but might be 10-20 seconds) followed by the registration screen appearing twice. Then I get a dialog:
Program closed
program Projekt
Reason code ViewSrv
Reason number 10
I can't be 100% certain but it only seems to happen if I had switched to another program without closing Projekt. I have a few non-standard programs installed but while trying to solve this, the only one in memory was Tracker (both 2 and 3)
Did i tell you that I would really like to get this program to work?
cheers
bruce
It is likely that the emails temporarily disappeared into a black hole dug by Telstra Bigpond here in Australia.
It seems that a combination of Tracker and the phone going to sleep are causing the problem.
