another BLUETOOTH PROBLEM (grrr)

ok, here i go again =) im starting to feel dumb, since my NGAGE just wont let me work it:

i got me a Bluetooth dongle =)
i connected it to my PC =)
i installed the drivers =)
i put PC Suite on my PC =)
i connected my NGage to the PC via Bluetooth =)

BUT!!!!!

i still cant transfer files, since my USB Port for BT uses Comport 0... and with mRouter i can only watch Port 1 or 2 (or both) but not 0 !!!!

so what the heck am i to do?

i can only change the ports, when i use PC suite... i cant use PC suite tho, since i need the right com port... for that i need to use PC Suite, which i cant (start from top again)...

Anybody got any help for me???

thx peepz, Andy

I don't think you have the BT functioning properly as I have additional COM ports appear when BT is running (COM3- COM13) and then it says something like something like
Connection: Bluetooth, Com Port: COM 3, Status: Connected

HTH
meiosis

whats the dongle ? i had shedloadsa probs with mine when i first got it for a 7650.

no probs with the n-gage but that was only cos i d/loaded up to date drivers. think the installation of the BTs can be a pain in the arse.

ur coms sounds just like mine was before i set up the dongle properly. once its installed tho i think it should have additional coms ports as meiosis says.

its a "bluetooth USB dongle class 1"... noname...

i did everysthing properly, i can connect to the NGage no prob via Windows Explorer.... but not via PC Suite....

i thnk it should work... i tried different USB slots, still same Com Port... 0

any more ideas???

well, i can obviously transfer my fiels via the prog that came with the usb dongle, so i just wont be able to use PC suite, but still have files on NGage... if you can still help me i would really appreciate it =)

This is OK. Ignore that COM0 report.
After Widcomm drivers/UI installing, you should see 11 new COM ports in your system.
Check Widcomm configuration for Serial Port number in LOCAL SERVICES tab. Make sure whether the Bluetooth Serial Port service is running, otherwise start it.
Pair devices if they are not paired yet but don't connect device.
Set the CCM port number (from Local Services tab) in the mRouter ports list.
Connect N-Gage device to the BT dongle using Bluetooth Serial Port profile.
Run PC Suite.
Work.
