Bemused

How long is your playlist?

I'm using bemused on linux, and the server program writes everything to the console. Do you have the same? No useful info there?

Using Windows XP

Music list is 1,321 mp3's long.

I thought it might be because the music list is too long, so i tried it with a shorter music list...still didnt work.

All it says in Event Log on server is:

'Welcome to Bemused v1.5
Software provided by LvCKyLuKe
Connected to port COM9'

Also, correction on the error in my previous post, the message on my phone is:

'Command Timed Out. Please Try Again'

Trying Bemused latest version....tell u if it worked or not..

does the same thing, but just takes longer to show the message. 😞

Bemused is not provided by LvCKyLuKe.LvCKyLuKe is some silly wannabe cracker.You probably downloaded bemused from some warez website.

yeah, when i downloaded the new version it was by the real author....still not working though 😞

how long does it take to refesh a music list of 1000 songs? roughly?

just so i know im not wasting my time waiting 5mins for the list to refresh, only for it not to work

for me ~500 playlist item gets trough in about 3 sec

try to reinstall te bemused server (or try an older version)

did try an older version, came off with worse results. think im gonna give up. I know im sooooooooooo close. the server says its connected etc. It starts refreshing the list, then just says: 'Command Timed Out' I've completely made sure PC Suite has nothing to do with, by removing the COM port for it/ unchecking, or adding it but unticking and making bemused use that port etc. tried everything.....just doesnt work. shame really, i swear i would've made the most use out of it than a lot of peeps 😞

after giving it another go a tweeking with the settings a little more....i connected the server to my phone...and winamp opened on its own.

Then in the event log this came up:

When i try to refresh the list it says:

'Unable to connect, Maximum number of Bluetooth connections already in use'

YES!!!! GOT IT WORKING!!! Stuck at it and got the job done! fiddled with ports etc little more......got lucky i spose! 😃 cheers everyone!

i just rebooted my PC and booted windoz to help you.
i faced the same (conn time out). it was bcoz mrouter and the other nokia shit grabbed the bt com port. just killed mrouter, connectmanger and econnect, it works sweet!

I got Gentoo linux, bluez and bluez kernel patches arethe most recent ones.
The belkin usb bluetooth adapter won't load with hotplug or more accurately hotplug detects it but bluez isn't autoloaded. I simply load bluez manually and starts hcid. I got gammu working just fine with my 7650.

Bemused isn't working though.
I'm getting the behavour this thread is all about and sometimes a

"Command completed with error -6312."

Now what could this be? Is it interference with my WLAN card or what? This could have something to do with me not setting up the correct stuff from the beginning. Should hcid be loaded? should rfcomm be used? I'm getting tired with this...

I had that same "timed out connection"problem and things like that.
Actually just few minutes ago latest.

Check that your bemused server is at task tray and running.
I often forget that. When starting it "minimize" it not "exit"button.

These are the mornings when nothing goes right (it's 8AM in Finland now).

Now to the toilet and play my playlist from there =)
