Been testing the N-Gage at work recently and i found it a bit of a mockery. I mean, when you catually make calls its like putting a brick to your head. You look ridiculous....either that or look crazy by 'talking to yourself' on handsfree walkin down the street.
Testing Rayman....gfx were nothin special, only thing i was impressed with was the size of the game. It has a long lifespan.
I mean man! if u want a proper gaming system, get a GBA. If you want a phone get a phone not a block of plastic. If u want best of both worlds..........3650/6600.
The price for the N-gage is a shamble.
I disagree.Considering the price,i think the N-Gage is a great buy,for 300 euros you are geting an average gaming device and a great smartphone.
even tho you might look like a weirdo i must say i dont mind putting this "brick" to my head. At least people recognize.
As for talking via Headset, .. lets wait 1 more year, i dont think its gonna be unusual then, prolly even more tho holding a block of plastic to your head 😉
As for the games: Id say we just gotta wait a little more to get awesoem games, the ones that were out with the release aint bad, but just nothing special, since we seeen all that before.
But hey, as soon as there as f.i. FIFA 2004... whoa, im sure thats gonna be a blast 😊

I agree with GhostDog and Andy.
Everyone seems to think you have to hold the phone like a pasty to your ear, which isnt the case. You can hold it with the keypad to ear and still hear everything the person on the other end is sayin
or use a bluetooth headset or the headset provided.
As for the games, tomb raider and sonic arent very user friendly but there just the first of many to come.
Soon someone will create a GBA emulator so we'll hav the best of both.
The n-gage can be manipulated, but the GBA cant.
N-gage is the best handest on the market hands down.

While it may not be the best on the market, i have to agree with EVERYTHING thats been said.
Seems like its going to be a "My PS2 is better than your Xbox" thing.
My ngage is being sent back to Nokia because of some dodgy Java app killing the software, and i cant believe how much i miss playing with my "brick"! 1000000 times better than my old 5510.

i agree with that the price is not shmaing. it`s really a good price for a device like n-gage. it will take time to be a popular gaming console for n-gage. nowadays everybody is curious about n-gage and at the same time people want to know what is the product they will pay for if they wanna buy. and ths first weeks and maybe months everybody waits someone to buy n-gage and see it from the first eye not from a store. they wanna learn that is tehere a problem, or is it something that will worth. after a while things will be better for n-gage. it`s a new product. give itsome time... i thing it worth every Euro i paid 😊 now i got an excellent phone, a very good gaming console, and a great product... it`s over fun 😊
Im not suprised its not hit the stores big time yet. Christmas is only round the corner, not many people can afford to spend $300 right before one of the most expensive holiday seasons. I didnt spend a penny on mine and im sure most of you all didnt either.
I personally reckon (and hope) itll be one massive at the end of the year when everyones got one for xmas.

Well I find tony hawk proskater to be GREAT
n gage is a great all rounder its versatile and as has been said is can be manipulated and it doesnt just run nintendo games it runs all sorts of everything
The "pasty pose" is because if you hold the phone with the
keypad against your face it means you
have the aerial too close to your head...(it's underneath the keypad - there is a diagram in the manual) - which begs the question : are mobile phones REALLY harmless?
Nokia isnt confident that they are harmless because why would they show you this diagram otherwise?
And anyone putting their appearence above their health deserves to get their brains fried!!
well, i thought them showing this diagraph had only the reason as to sav battery capacity (which u will REALLY need to do, since the batt that comes with the NGAGE suxx) 😊
yes i agree with you what you said aout he battery. it really sucks. i charged it yeserday at night. and today i played and played and now i have i bar on the battery status display... is there a solution for this? does nokia have a better battery for n-gage?
This is the highest capacity battery nokia provide. To be fair, its no wonder you only have one bar left if you played on it for hours. The battery isnt ment to last for days and days at a time.
Just about everyone charges there baterry every night anyway, so it dont make alot of difference, so long as it lasts the day.
SAbz
in fact i haven`t played for hours that is the point... i dont expect for the battery last for 3-4 days... but how long will this battery work even for one day? i think they can make a 1,5Volt battery slot which can be removed from the device (like the sony walkmans have)... i think that can be very good for everyone.
Damage to the brain by cell phones has not been proven - and it probably never will. This is mostly because of the fact that cell phones don't radiate alpha particles, beta particles or gamma rays. It can't because alpha and gamma is radioactive decay (when there is unstable material) and gamma rays are not present because they are just high energy beams of light. Even if there were radiation coming from the phone, there wouldn't be enough to give you cancer, it's like the sun, small dosses won't affect you at all, but if you're exposed to alot of sun, or very high UV rays then your health will suffer. These are the only types of radiation high enough in the spectrum (including UV rays) to really cause biological damage. Microwaves are a completely different thing - although they are on the spectrum, they have a different affect, they vibrate water molicules, therefore heating them, but cell phones don't produces enough microwaves to "fry" your brain, you'd feel it. BTW, don't stick your arm in a microwave, you'll cook from the inside out 😃.
