2 Questions....
The TFT Screen, is it gona be any better than the 3650 screen? I mean, i know TFT monitors are a big improvement...but a TFT screen on a phone what does this mean?
Digital zoom.....will this be any better than using 'Photographer' on the 3650?
6600's screen is just awesome,a lot better then 3650's screen.
Digital zoom is exactly as using Photographer.
Surely the screen will be the same as The 3650 and 7650 as they are both TFT screens you can tell this as they contain many more colours and have much more clarity than an LCD like most other colour screen phones which are blurry and can only be viewed from one direction,the only differnce here I would imagine is that the software allows more colours...
No, it is not just a "driver thing". The 6600 has a different display (same resolution, but more possible colours supported).
The 7650/3650 have a passive matrix 4096 colour screen, the 3660/6600 have a 16bit / 65k colour active matrix TFT screen.
ok its no good just quoting spec at people - we need to know what it means - tell us about the technology and how it works
Believe us. There will be a HUGE difference in the quality of the displays.
but I am really interested in how the displays work as I know how an LCD one works, so if anyone can enlighten on how the colour TFT and Matrix screen work that would be great
TFT Active Matrix screens have a transister with each pixel (red/green/blue) on the screen resulting in improved response time, as passive matrix does not have the local transistors so it takes longer to switch them on and off. Also TFT activate matrix have a better viewing angle and more colours available.
I am no expert LCD screens use polarised lenses, coloured filters and methods to bend the light resulting in better viewing angles, etc. best bet is to do a search on google.

The best TFT screen on a phone is Undoubtedly the one on the Sharp GX20, this screen really has to be seen to be beleived!

The 6600 screen is much nicer than the 7650's.
It's brighter, looks sharper and the motion seems a lot better. The extra colours make the photos look a look more vibrant too.

okay, so the colours make it look more vibrant. But only on the phone. once they're on your pc they will look the same as 3650 pics.

Actually no. Both 3650 and 7650 have active matrix (TFT) 4096- color screens.
