The rumours about a possible Siemens Symbian OS based phone have begun to circulate again with speculation being that the launch is very close. The phone (some say the S55 - I'm not so sure) is based on Series 60 and shares a lot of common ground with the Nokia 7650.
There's some mesages of financial websites, but the most authortative piece I could find was this one on PMN here.
The rumours do suggest that the Simens device may be better specced than the Nokia 7650 including possibly more memory and more inbuilt applications.
Looks like it is another game of wait and see.
Could this be the Siemens Smartphone, looks like the Nokia 7650:

Certainly looks right and the name SL55 fits in better with what I have heard and seen.

Infosync have this article on the S55.
However it seems very vauge and does not mention use of the Symbian OS. It says it has Bluetooth, J2ME, GPRS, WAP, MMS etc so it could be Symban based but who knows. [/url]
