Need help badly...

Sorry guys but this is driving me crazy !

Have had my lovely p800 for about 6 months now and its been fine. However last week my Contacts folder refused to let me access it. I kept getting a Memory Full warning at the bottom of the screen and it would boot me out to a different app.

Fair enough I thought so I deleted loads of stuff.

But it still did it.

Then after a while it gave a different error message - Information Corrupt.

So I gave up and did a master reset. Fine for a few days but then EXACTLY the same problem occurs. Third Master reset this morning and its done it again 😞

This only happens with the Contacts app and occasionally it will throw up a random error message with a string of numbers and a Kernel Error.

Cant find any help on the SE website (not even where my nearest service centre is), any ideas anyone ??

Well, a master reset doesn't really remedy anything, it just removes all the software, pics etc. you've installed. I'd sugest you do a proper FORMAT which will recreate all the system folders etc. and remove any corrupt files you might be having now. To do a format, in flip closed mode turn the jog dial up one notch - * - down - down - * down - option number 5 - Format internal disk. But beware, this will erase EVERYTHING from your P800 and leave it exactly the way it was when you first got it. Any language packs etc. you might have will need to be reinstalled all over again, but I'm sure this will indeed fix the problems you're having. If not, then you will have to visit a cervice centre to get the firmware reflashed.

Good luck. 😊

sorry Raven, just a simple correction:
in flip closed mode turn the jog dial up one notch - * - down - down - * - down - * - - option number 5 - Format internal disk.
and as Raven said ... Good Luck Retro 😊
