I love using my new P800 with out the flip but the number keys in phone mode do not have the letters on them ie: 2=abc 3=def 4=ghi. Is there a way to change the screen to that I can see the letters on the numbers?
If I hold the flip up off of the screen I can see the buttons have the letters on them but if the screen is opened all the way they disappear? Whats up with that?
You should enable the virtual keypad in the control panel... That way you'll get the same keys and screen as when you have the keypad attached
to do that go to control pannel --> Device --> Flip removed, tick (enable virtual flip) --> done
nice and simple, but remember, in flip removed mode u'll have to be more careful so the screen don't get broken 😊
I think it safe to say this is the best Cell/PDA to ever hit the market!!! (i know i'm late) I hope we (p800ers) get the UIQ update.

Now do I still have to lock the key pad with my 4 digit ps with the virtual flip activated or can I just set it up for the regular unlock?

u can actually do both, either lock it with your phone code (4 digits) or just through the usuall unlocking procedure, u just need to configure the method that suits u!
just go to Control Panel --> Device --> Display --> tick (Screen Saver Device Lock) .... and u'll have your phone locked and needs the 4 digits phone code.
or go to Control Panel --> General --> Phone Preferences --> Lock --> tick (Automaticaly key lock) ... and u'll have your keybord locked and need the rergular (ok --> *)
u can actually get both of them working cuz they r not related to each others.😛

What bit rate do you use for your .mp3 96 or 128 I was using 96 and it sounds good to me but I am not using the earphones. I want to get the largest capacity memory card duo (128m I think) and fill it up with at least 1.5 hours of mp3's. Is that possible to do, and keep good sound quality?

but the don't seem to work with my Zenith TV. I followed the directions and got all the correct prompts but no doe.
Reason I asked here and not their support email is that I was hoping that someone had a better remote control program. Something like Omniremote for Palms. Omni lets you teach your palm any ir code then you create and label the buttons yourself on the screen. It works great.

total ir remote control also have the learning feature, but it's somehow more complicated than the regular.
I've been using it for a while, and it works well with my Philips TV, but in some cases u have to press the button many times rapidly to get it work, u even have to b infront of ur phone and not more than 2m away.
and for ur MP3, go for it DATRUTH it's worth it, and it's even cooler if u use it's original earphone.
