What's the exact latest P800 cpu speed?

4 replies · 4,029 views · Started 27 October 2003

Some say P800 having 200Mhz in original engineering test sample and some say now only 156Mhz.
So which are the true claimed?

Can any P800 users help to use below PhoneID software and post the screenshot?
So that I can tell what's the exact P800 cpu speed?
Many thanks in advance!

Like i said in the 3650 forum, the p800 has a 156 Mhz CPU,so does the p900.If you don't believe me,i'm sure someone will be kind enough to post a screenshot.

There was a rumour that early p800 prototypes had a 196 Mhz CPU.

The CPU is clocked at 156MHz. This is confirmed by not only me, but dozens of other P800 users (been mentioned before in this forum).

Michal Jerz over at My-Symbian made an .exe file to test this (attached), which works on all Symbian devices. A screenshot of the result from the EXE: User posted image -Which clearly shows the CPU clocked at 156000KHz or 156MHz.

Btw, your SIS showed as incompatible when I tried to install it.

No, I wasn't mean not to believe anyone as some folks received the engineering test sample (months before actual release, the one without MSD slot) actually having a 200Mhz cpu (196Mhz perhaps).

The one I'd upload was actually for Series 60 phones. I thoght someone said they ever used it to get the info of P800 cpu speed.
Maybe I've got the wrong version. Sorry!
