Hi there,
I am trying to get fexplorer to work on my phone,
I have formatted the memory card, and have moved the .sis file to the mmc ( i think). the way I am doing it is by connecting the ngage by USB to the pc (where it then appears as another hard drive in windows explorer), and manipulating the files that way? Is this wrong? I have tried to look around the forum to see if this has already been dealt with, so I apologise if it has. Any advice gratefully received!
Malcolm

The best way to do it is to download it from wap.my-symbian.com via wap or gprs. An then follow the automatic install options.

If you put the .sis file on on the memory card you cant access it, without FExplorer already being installed.

yes you can.. copy the sis via the USB cable onto the root of the MMC card.

Then go to tools/manager and at the bottom will be the sis file. Then click on it, and choose install and follow the instructions. Last option before installing will be where you want it installed to either the phone or the MMC card.

You only need Fexplore for installing Jar files (which you would normally recieve over the air) not for sis files. I never use Fexplorer to install those.

Cheers

Matt

yes you don`t need the fexplorer for sis files...
the noninstalled sis file on the lis in the Tools/Manager the one without a black cube on the righ of the name. you can install it from there... no need of fexplorer for sis fils...

Quoting from homma ".......where you want it installed to either the phone or the MMC card"

Do most people normally install FExplorer to the phone memory? Is there any advantage using ph. mem or M. card? (I only have the 1 x 128bit card)
