Got my 6600 yesterday but are having problems connecting with the Nokia PC Suite. Have both tried to connect the phone through IR and BT (both works fine), but when I start PC Suite and enter a Profile Name, all I get is an error "You must enter a valid name".
Anyone else have gotten this and solved the problem?
mmmm..... what happens when you tried to enter a valid name...??
Thats the problem. PC Suite does not accept any name, valid or not - all it does is giving the damn error message.
do you have any othe rpc suite installed??? what's your PC's OS? remove mrouter form the taskbar....
Solved the problem by starting another copy of Mrouter - strange but it works now (have two mrouter icons on the taskbar)
Mrouter constantly surprises me - dont get me wrong I think its great esp when it works but it baffles me...
I am using XP. Mrouter just does not show any Coms ports at all, apart from IR.
I have tried 2 different dongles, and installed several times. I can pair OK. Mrouter just does not see the coms ports

How do you start another mrouter?
Don't actually know, but I opened the Nokia PcSuite folder and tryed to start every protram in that folder in my attempt to get the package to work
Nokia PC suite is a total pile of crap. 2 dongles will not work with 2 PC's and a Laptop.
Had the phone for 10 hours now and despite constant fuc****g around I can't connect to the PC at all.
I am really really fed up.
Despite all its bad points at least I could get my MS Smartphone to connect to my PC in about 10 seconds flat.
Bluetooth - I hate it.

Try C:\Program Files\Intuwave\Shared\mRouterRunTime. that will start it up again. But didn't work for me with the PCS not taking named text in the enter your phone contest. I think Nokia should give the phone away and start selling software once they get it working. Anyone having any luck with PCS software getting past the naming issue?
