finally, got my hands on a new symbian phone.
cool, new feel, new look, no round keypads, lighter than the P800, slimmer than both 3650 & P800. got the grey /black combo.
well, tested first by ddr, she said that its easier to use and carry than the 3650. nice grip also, the shape of the phone has its reasons pala.... joystick is much easier to use compared to the 3650's round thingy..... para kangf naka ericsson.
package contains a 32mb mmc that is made in the philippines, batt, handsfree, 2cds [pc suite and ulead], and the phone [ofcourse
the screen viewing is bigger than the 3650 and much brighter and richer too. TFT screen it has themes, 3 defined themes that gets you out of the traditional color palete 3rd party software. it also has a built in file manager already. this time, you can save your sms, mms, address book, and videos either on the phone or mmc, [yes, it gave us a choice]. the built in file manager works great with default folders already on both phone and mmc like the ericsson's UNFILED thingy....
when installung original nokia softwares such as bounce, triple pop, and other nokia games, it prompts you to connect to GPRS to check nokia certificates.... but when it tries to connect, installation fails. so, i tried the old fashioned way and beamed the nokia sis file to the phone and insytalled it from there. and it got installed. no more checking certificates.
for 3rd party 3650 softwares, infortunately, not all works. only 50% of the existing softwares i have worked or became compatible with this model. so far, only IR remote 1.3 and app man 1.4 have worked. others doesn't wanna work when installed.
by the way, when installing, it gives a warning that it's imcompatible with the phone model, but when i click continue, it was able to install the software but it won't work.
so far, indoor picturs are at par with the P800 and 3650 when viewed on the PC. as for viewing on the screen, ofcourse, it will look good on th e6600 coz the screen is brighter, crisp, and clear compared to the 3650.
video with audio has a 10sec limit also. and yes, bluetooth works with olders HbH 10, 15 and 30.....
lastly..... 2x zoom is so cool.... although i owuld've wanted a 10x zoom....
ok... that's it for now... more to come... just feel free to ask me questions.....
