Edit midi files

Hi there,
does anybody know a (simple!) program for editing existing midi files on the PC (win XP)? I downloaded a lot of midi files for the 7650, but most of them are too long and need to much flash memory, so I want to shorten it.

Thanx for your help

Hi,

You can use Anvil Studio Software, available in:

http://www.AnvilStudio.com/

It's a very powerfull software and it's FREE

It (anvil studio) looks very nice, but won't let me delete parts of a midi song, even cutting from one song and copying to a new one fails... 😞

I've not attached the song, as "Not an allowed Mime Type: audio/mid" appears when I try...

It does 😃 . I had to search for a while, but then I found it: With "file/truncate song/delete ..." you can easily shorten the midi files by deleting the parts u dont need !

You're right... It's just very counter-intuitive, I expected it would allow me just to select and delete...

best prog i have found to easily strip a midi file is PS Player, which is actually an MMF polytone util for the Samsung T100 (which i used to own).

great prog for say, removing the silence at the start of a midi, or playing the midi from the start of the chorus etc.

get it from:

Brilliant ! I spent hours yesterday trying to find sommit similar !

Cant wait to chop the begining off Alice Dee J and ATB 9pm tunes when i get home ! 😊
