device lock - will not turn off — Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and P910

Hi - ive turned the sim lock and the device lock on, on my p800. My screensaver activates after 1 min then my device lock comes on.

Ive tried to turn device lock off by going to control panel, phone preferences, locks, select device lock off (i leave the sim card lock on).

But device lock still activates it DOES NOT GO OFF. In the control panel settings it shows it is OFF. Its driving me nuts, i use the phone a lot and tapping in the code in every few minutes is a pain

I take a lot of calls and have to key it in to answer also.

Please save my sanity - How can i turn it off?

actually it's a matter that confused me too when I first bought my P800, then I realised that SE people had a different idea in placing these kind of settings.
what I ment is u have to remove the phone lock from another settings area, just go to your Control Panel --> Device --> Display --> untick (Screen Saver Device Lock).

that's it, and u'll live happily ever after 😛
