pleeeezzzeee does anyone know the settings for email on a blueyonder broadband account? using my n-gage?
I am using vodafone network. it lists vodafone live! & vodafone mms in access points but i dont know which im on. this is a renew contract phone & live! wasnt active when i started. am i the latter? what are the other settings? I have searched for the past 3-4 days here/nokia/blueyonder/vodafone etc. the only reference i can find was a post relating to another phone and using dialup settings to access broadband account?
I have only just got my n-gage. and not that tech minded.
i.e full instructions req.
one post said they had it working fine but didnt say how!
This was one of the main reasons i chose this phone so any help i wolud be extremely greatful!

N-gage blueyonder broadband email
You'll be lucky if anyone knows the answer to that one. Your better of phoning either A) your network provider or B) your internet service provider (blueyonder etc.) They'll beable to give you all the settings required over the phone.
Hope this helps,
SAbz

I am accessing my blueyonder email acc from the ngage.. I am on Tmobile.
Basically you can use any connection to the internet you can get so either your GPRS or basic data call dialup it makes no odds for email.
So all you need to do is setup your mailbox on the ngage, put in your username/password and the usual :
pop3.blueyonder.co.uk for incoming
smtp.blueyonder.co.uk for outgoing
and set the mailbox to pop3 rather than imap.
Then just connect using your access point.. just try the live one ans see if it works. I use Tmobile CSD which was for there wap access but it allows connection out to the web as well (and its included with my free mins) so I use that for my email rather then the GPRS one.
Try the nokia ngage site as well I think they can text u the settings for the vodaphone network as well..
Matt
thanks for the help.
email now working fine.
one other thing. when i try to download ringtones/logos/pictures from the vodafone live! i get error message saying my handset doesn't support colour browsing?!?? surely this cant be right?
also when trying to access real site i keep getting time out errors.
not having much luk so far am I guys......
but then again i'm new to this so Again any help on what i may be doing wrong i would be extremely greatful.
thanks in advance.
