another newie question...
Nokia only mem cards??
at a recent computer fair i purchased what i was told to be a mem card compatable with my phone. I wasnt sure so demanded a reciept an guarantee i could return it.
well it didnt fit.
The problem now is, are compatible cards available? or do i have to buy a official (more expensive) nokia mmc card?
I will be returning it on tuesday. is there any other cards i can buy that fit?
my first port of call was official phone/game retailers but nobody in my town new the type i needed which led me to computer fair.
when i enquired in dixons 2 sales assistants had never even heard of the phone and one opened his own handset and said mine doesnt take one?!? it wasnt even an n-gage! tish!

by the way i noticed some posts regarding missing cards, when i first got my n-gage on box it said game card inside, there wasnt but i rang up phones4u and they sent a complete replacement new boxed phone with card insirted in phone.
get onto your supplier

The Ngage can only hold a MMC Card, not SD (Secure Digital). The way you can tell the difference is by either:
1)looking at the label and making sure it doesn't say "SD" on it
2)Flipping the MMC card over and making sure it only has 7 pins and all the pins are the same size.
As far as buy only a nokia MMC card, I am pretty sure you don't have to buy the nokia brand one. Most of the people I know who have the Ngage are using third party MMC cards.

Look in Amazon for the 128mb ByteStor MMC. It fors fine and only costs 30.

There are a couple of ads on eBay at the moment for 512mb MMC cards, specifically listed as compatible with the n-gage & 6600.
