Does anyone have the new Toyota 2004 Prius? It has built in bluetooth phone capabilities.
But, no one's been able to get the p800 model to bond with the NAV system. Other Bluetooth phones seem to work fine.
Any suggestions or places to search for solutions?
Might have something to do with the bluetooth profiles the P800 has, might not be compatible.
I believe upgrading firware would upgrade Bluetooth version too, try it it might work after upgrading
The same problem occurs with the BMW bluetooth set up. P800 won't work but the earlier SE T68 will. Seems the headset profile in the P800 isn't compatible (it needs to be a handsfree proile I've been told).
I had the firmware upgrade a couple months ago (yay!), so that won't resolve the problem (dang).
What do you mean by incompatability in relation to a headset/handsfree setting?
It was my impression that bluetooth was well, bluetooth. It's either there or not there, not various degrees of working or not working.
There are different kinds of profiles. Two of them are headset and handsfree.
There is a difference between the headset and the handsfree profile. Unfortanetely for you, the P800 doesn't support the latter.
Ah! Okay, I'm beginning to understand.
Will the p900 support both?
