Ngage Payouts?!?!

To be honest...the more I read, the more I think the people that hate the N-Gage fall into two categories:

1: Nintendo fanboys. Loyal to their system to the death. That is their right, but it doesn't make the N-Gage a bad system. And their constant off-kilter comparisons and the like get annoying. But, from what I have seen this type of stuff goes all the way to the "top". A N-Gage game, gets a 8 on graphics, while doing good 3D rendering. A GBA game with SNES graphics gets a 9. Uh-huh... that's logical.

2: People that buy into hype. Some people seemed to expect the N-Gage to be the ultimate device known to man. It plays MP3s... it plays 3D games, it improves on the features of the allready impressive line of Series 60 phones and THEN! it happens to be the cheapest of the lot. Yet, somehow.... these people got let down. I don't know exactly how much else they were supposed to fit in there, but apparently they left some stuff out or something.

The N-Gage isn't perfect, but I love it. And from what I understand a lot of people that have one do as well. A lot of people don't give it a chance, or judge it on some weird convoluted method of comparison and of course aren't happy with it.

definitely float. I'm not a huge gamer but like the idea of combining an MP3 player, radio and phone and that fact that it plays cool games as well is a huge bonus.

There are a few flaws but nothing I couldn't live with. I think people expect too much nowadays. Last year the most common phone that i saw was the Nokia 8310 in the UK, look at the improvement since then!

Cheers all

It's definitely a floater (but not in the way some reviews suggest!)

I too am not a big gamer but I like all the stuff my N-Gage can do. I can play games while I'm releasing some floaters of my own 😊 I can listen to the radio on the bus. I have two full movies on my 128mb card at any one time. Okay so it doesn't compare to my laptop in that regard but my laptop doesn't fit in my pocket, or my hand. The screen is a bit small for movies but good enough for me to watch a movie I already know, that I'm not looking to see all the details on the screen.

The only complaint I have is the mic/speaker layout. I feel a right spanner when I'm on a call 😞

As for me, my N-Gage is more than a phone. More than a Game Deck (as Nokia says).

I use my N-Gage as a radio or MP3 player when I'm going through the traffic jam. As a game console whenever I'm on the train or bus (and let others envy with what I have 😊 ) As a portable drive to transfer my files from my office (which has T1 connection to the net) to my home PC.

Everything it does, is much more than just a phone.
