The N6600 doesn't work with Apple's iSync

For those interested it is possible by hacking the system files in /System/Library/SyncServices/SymbianConduit.bundle/Contents/Resources

Basically you have to add entries for the Nokia 6600 and simply point them at the existing 3650 entries which is basically what they've done for the N-Gage configuration.

How can I be the admin when I am the only user of my mac ? Please could you describe it more ???

Here's the files I changed to add Nokia 6600 to iSync's list of compatible phones. There's also a custom image for iSync's list of devices. I created this from high resolution images of Nokia 6600 in Nokia web site's press section using Photoshop Elements.

To install in Panther, open the archive and drag the files to /System/Library/SyncServices/SymbianConduit.bundle/Contents/Resources (you will need to show the bundle and select "Show Package Contents" to go into this folder). Authenticate to finish the copy operation. You must either change permissions manually or use the command line if you are using Jaguar. You might want to backup the original files in case things go horribly wrong. Don't forget to use the latest versions of iSync, iCal and Address Book (Panther should have the most current versions).

It doesn't seem to find the image for me. Anything else you have to do to get it find that 6600.tiff image file?

I now get this without fail when I complete my iSync

App. closed ectcpadapter_00808E5C!

on the phone.

I get the same thing, it doesn't seem to affect the syncronization though, as you say. I'll ignore this for the moment...

I can't seem to sync address book groups though. The log will say they are sync'ed but there's no change in the phone. Do you have the same problem?
