Sendo choose Opera too!

Sendo and Opera have today announced that the new Series 60 Sendo X will have Opera rather than a WAP browser. Opera's Small Screen Rendering allows HTML sites to be viewed without having to use horizontal scrolling, making it far more user-friendly. EwanFreEPOC saw a demo of the Sendo X with Opera and was impressed.

Read Opera's press release.

Ummm. With Opera being bundled with all these Symbian devices how long is it going to be before Opera starts taking a significant percentage of overall broswer use from Internet Explorer 😉

From what I can see, Opera's not just bundled with the Sendo X, but actually in the ROM.

I'm sure MS will work out a statistic that shows them as the leading mobile web browser - but we know different (says the Blue Cow narrator).

Are you sure? If so, can you still upgrade if Opera release a new version?

I think so, it was also possible to upgrade the 3650 videorecorder.

That's wicked! Opera is BY FAR the best web app on series 60 right now. I've had it on my 7650 almost since it became available and it is absolutely invaluable. I only wish the 7650 memory were bigger, as Opera takes up a whopping 800K of memory...
