Opera 6 Deleted

Hi. Yesterday I bought my 6600 at last. I deleted all its try-apps and use my MMC 128. But then a friend of mine told me that Opera 6 was Free for 6600!!😞
Please, do you know any site where I can download the freeware Opera 6 for 6600?? I have searched for it on www.opera.com and www.softwaremarket.nokia.com but I don�t find it free for 6600 😞
Anyway, if I can not find it free, where can I buy the lastest version adapted for my 6600?

I have a same problem now cant find opera i download
one from opera web site but is has a tile limit on 14 days

You may or may not get it back by formatting the phone with *#7370# (you will lose all contacts/data/installed progs - phone will be reset with the setitngs it had when you first turned it on)

If it was free with the 6600, I would expect it to be on one of the cds which came with the phone.

Actually i just read the sticky at the top of this forum - you might try that method of formatting the phone if the above code does not work.

Formatting/resetting the phone won't help, for sure. Opera was installed on the MMC, not in phone memory.

Hi,i am writing on my 66 😊 I cannot know if Opera is on the Cd cos now im out of Madrid for weekend & i have not PC here. Thanks 4 your answers 😉 If Opera isnt on CD,where can i buy it adapted for my 66? Thanks again guys! Oh,formating wont help cos Opera was installed on the mmc.

I checked everthing, there's no Opera browser in my 6600!!! I thought it came with it. 😡

I sure hope Opera would allow us to get it from somewhere...

When installing Opera on a phone that originally was equipped with the browser,
it will automatically detect the licence, and such be a fully registered version.

Well, Today I downloaded Opera for 6600 from Opera Site.
But after installation, the app ask for a reg code! 😞 I thought it was free for 6600 users 😞

This may be useful for folks switching MMC cards.

1) Keep the original 32MB MMC in the phone with Opera installed.
2) Download EUR 6600 version of from Opera.com
3) Install via PC suite
- PC suite will ask to uninstall existing Opera (from MMC)
- Say 'yes' and install new version to phone memory.
- assumption here is that it needs to see the original Opera on the phone and validate any keys.
4) Check Opera - runs OK.
5) Swap 32MB MMC for 128MB.
6) Check Opera again - runs OK.

Not sure how to tell whether it's a trial version or the real thing (tried About Opera) but it looks OK so far.

Hope this is useful for others.

PS. Not sure if there's any need to reformat the 128MB MMC? Seems that it's readable or gets auto-formatted on the 6600 when first inserted.

Call your favorite Nokia service centre and ask them to register Opera for you again. You only need your IMEI number...
