If you look on page 2 of the Quick Start Guide under Charge The Battery it tells you:-

You can use the Game Deck while charging.

not the first time, it f*cks up the battery life. and it says nothing in my quick start guide, just says (till the bar stop moving) and that cant be for the first time. can it?

In the quickstart guide under the heading Charge The Battery sub section 3, it clearly states that you may use the N-Gage whilst charging the battery.

The quickstart guide is just that, a guide to get you started quickly. There is no problem with using the N-gage whilst charging for the first time otherwise it would say "You must charge your N-Gage for x hours FIRST"

It'll be fine...go on have a play.

it was just with every other nokia i've had says to charge it for 12hrs before.

just leave it charging until the bar stops moving
it only takes 3 hours and if u open it withpout a full battery it will decrease ur battery life time

I think Nokia know about these things. Although, I agree that some batteries require full charging before use.

The battery is lithium iron (i think) which doesnt require charging fully before use. It wont affect the life of the battery unlike the old ones.

my battery sucks!!! it will not even last a whole day before the low battery indacator beeps, and thats on days i do not use the phone much, like while i am at work. is this my battery or is it the phone crappy battery life?

The battery life varies with what you are using the gage for. When playin games you have about 2-3 hours when listening the mp3z you also have about 3-3.5 hours when using radio mode you have about 5-6 hours. In phone mode with normal use you should have at least a day and a half!

The battery is Lithium-ion and you don't need to charge it for 12 hours and yes, you can use it while chargeing...

Remember, the network signal affects the battery, even if u havent been playin much with d game deck but the signal keeps on increasn or decreasn it helps drain out batteries. A li-ion must be fully empty before charging, unlike li-polymer which can be charged even if it aint fully drained. 😃

Even for a lithium ion type of battery it requires to charge fully the first time!!!! then uncharge it completely and charge it again. repeat that 3 or 4 times and after 4 or 5 times charging the battery will be indicated correctly. and then the standbytime is at its top.
If u dont do that you`ll get a lazy battery and the standbytime sucks... it doesnt matter what nokia says u to do. if they say jump before use, do u jump???
i am getting customers in my shop every day complainig about there batterys, and every time its the same story.
I`ve got a Sony ericsson p800, i didnt charged it correctly for the first 3 or 4 times, my standbytime sucks (less than a day) i bought a new battery, charged it correctly and it works for 4 days now.

Ofcourse after charging it for about 3 or 4 times u can start charging it when its half empty if u like, because thats the great thing about lithium ion!
