yeah, sony has announced it will have a phone, mp3 player, movie player, games and analogue sticks for gaming. Looks good but i'm never buying anything of sonys ps line again, because of how crapily they make them. I thought Sony was known for its reliability?

Nokia had an early start with its N-GAGE and will learn from its mistakes.

By the time PSP is released, Nokia will have the second version of the N-Gage ready which might very well be $ony's PSP killer.

Don't forget that $ONY has always liked to include all the proprietary, junk they can come up with like memory sticks, pseudo DVD drives , and all the other expensive and unusable stuff

If N-Gage 2 gets all of the current problems fixed, it will be a tough fight for $ONY.

Why would anyone want to go with a totally proprietary system versus an open source one is hard to understand.

The psp is a cool idea but still just a concept! Not even close to a product tested and ready for the shelves! the n-gage is here and you can play it now! not just dream about it!

Sony is also very well known for bringing concept products very quickly to market. Recent examples include the clamshell and horizontal CLIE. Only a few months after Sony claimed that all they had were non-working concept products before the actual prodcuts became available.
