Switcher tells me that EiksrvBackdrop uses 252k, and until now, I've never even considered what it is.

I've searched this forum and found nothing, so I'm asking those of you in the know, what is it?

thanks,

Andrew

It's the Eikon Server. Basically this is the application that tells all the other applications when they can be 'in charge' of the 9210. Without this, your phone is going to get so confused it will freeze up. Don't (whatever you do) stop this unless you want to soft reset your phone. It's a vital part of the OS.

Consider it like the System screen on previous EPOC machines like the 5mx and Revo, it's just that it doesn't have it's own view.
