Hello,

I need to develop and application for the Symbian OS, however I have no experience with this OS. At the moment I am simply looking for information about what kind of differences exist between the various Symbian versions, especially GUI and TCP communications. I need to know how hard it would be to port my app to all the various Symbian devices that exist out there (since I understand that they vary quite significantly in terms of screen resolution and input devices)... Can anyone point me to some in-depth information about this topic?

Thanks for that, should come in pretty handy... Is there something like this but maybe a little more detailed however? In terms of which classes etc are available for each version and each phone in fact? Are there any API's which are phone specific?

For that, you need to get the SDK's & compare.

What you have, are Symbian SDK's & vendor's (Nokia, Siemens, Sendo, Sony Ericsson) SDK's (and those in various versions for different IDE's).
