I have just got a 2nd hand 9210, looking to use it to admin my boxen on the road. Whats the best SSH client for the 9210?

F-Secure used to make a client that was pretty solid, but I don't believe they support it anymore. Also, it was really, really expensive.

ok, i have just installed the latest putty binary. well it does the job... lets see how it goes, i am a big fan of putty for win32 so maybe this is gonna work.....

this is my 2nd day with my 9210, pretty impessed so far.

belanger's right.

Actually, the Mocha program supports SSH1 as well. That's also pretty nice to use, but is shareware. It's only limitation is a nag screen, though, so you could try that one out as well for a while.

The only one I've ever come across that supports SSH2 was the insanely expensive F-Secure one, though, which is a pain for me, as our network security updates mean that I can't just log in with a terminal session any more as I need SSH2.

I'm also unaware of any SCP clients so far.
😞

These are two of my own strongest pet peeves.

The latest version of putty for nokia 9200
supports ssh2.
Now, if only cut -n- paste and scroll bars are
added, then it would fulfill everything needed.
It's SWEET!

Oh yeah, scp is direly needed. Only way
to get files onto certain boxes.

Yo,

Cool. I was using v 1.00 previously. I just tried 1.2, & yup - it does SSH2 as well. Thanks for the heads-up! 😃

So, if some heroic coder who knows about encryption can tackle SCP for us, then we'd be golden...
