I may buy a 6600 today (for poor 7650 got wet and died!) There is a site on the web that does them for 339 (345 inc. delivery), but they are central european models, hailing from Hungary. I'm wondering if there is any difference between these and the models currently in the carphone warehouse (400)....
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers.
The built in languages for menus and T9 will likely be different, but I believe all phones have English. Also the codepages for charaters may be different, I had what I believed was a French 3510 for phones4uk (UK) (IMEI sticker in French) and the sign did not display correctly on titles to service SMS messages (O2 pay as you go), fine on other phones including 3510s.
If you take to a service centre you may need a receipt as proof of purchase if an out of area model, as long as your phone is marketed in the region I think you'll be OK. I also had a 7210 that was from expansys.com, the service centre told me it was a US model, but they still updated software no problems with a receipt for purchase.
Another note is my US 7210 some menu items has different names ie. Numbers was Contacts and minor things like that.
