anyone faced this problem b4?
after installing or uninstalling any sw, and when I go to the application window, I just get a white blank sheet, all functions r working properly, I mean u can choose the applications sub menu, and the view menu, and even the sorting menu, everything's working but n oapplication seems to b available!
to solve it I have to either use Switcher, and do Free Memory three times in a roll, then exit Switcher and get all my aplications back, or use TaskMan and do Compact Memory again several times, then Exit and go to application and find everything's back to normal!
first thuoght it was a memory issue, but guess it's not, as no other swz are working, and have more than 5mb on the C drive and hell more than 30mb on D. and even in F/C if I go to applications after installing or uninstalling anything I find a blank page too...😞
anyone got a clue, or at least joined me in this issue b4?
it's a common bug in uiq phones, it's apparant on p900's too but instead, it restarts the phone automatically
that's really strange, as it's a big issue, haven't seen anyone talking about it b4, r they all satisfide with it?
and strange that still no descent solution is available!
so anyone got over it with a better way than I'm doing?
you can also do either of the following :
use the "fix applist" option in sman or remove and then re-insert your mmc card ...

I have sman, but couldn't find "fix applist" option in it😕
and it's MS not MMC 😉 look like u've been using Siemens SL45 for a while😛
Just use a task manager and "kill"/"close" Applications app. It restarts automatically and is fixed. Only takes 2 secs
I believe it's a memory problem: the application that you just ran has using up too much memory. I have that experience when installing and playing MIB II that comes with the phone. I restarted the phone to get back the application list.
I was able to solve the problem by killing most unnecessary tasks or programs that are running before I run the problematic application and I am able to get around the issue.
but the problem is still happening whenever I install/ininstall any application, even if I clean up the memory before doing that, and even without having any other application running in memory, still confusing huh 😕
For me this is just a very very minor issue. its not that I'm installing apps all the time, so I can live with this bug and there are ways to get around them anyways. This bug doesnt bug me 😃
i heard it was just a bug in the operating system, but it was always peeing me off each time i had to close the apps and restart the app list again

Well, here's a workaround, if you have tracker, launch any application that is installed on your card, after that it should bring back all the aps. It worked for me on my P800 😊
well it works with me too, sometimes I use it.
I actually prefer this step more than useing Switcher or TaskMan to kill softwares, cuz it closes even some softwares that I want them to be running all the time, ending with doing several steps of cleaning memory, going back to app, then opening desired softwares!
is this bug still avilable in the P900?
You don't have to kill all software. you only have to use task manager to close "Applications". After that, "Applications" is normally SELF-reloaded (through a small routine called "alaunch"😉 and is again visible when selected.
may i ask how you came about with the name "nk7"?

I tried that using the task-manager of Handy Day, but when I try to close "Applications, it says "can't close this application"...😞
it worked in TaskMan, so guess it's the best solution till now!
even in Switcher it'll do the job.
but still have to wait sveral seconds to get your Applications back, as it takes time to reload, especially if u have dozens of software! 🙄
