N-gage alarm

Hi all,

You know, when you get a new phone there is always something it can't do that the old one could. In this case, the new one is an N-gage and the old one a Sony Ericsson T68i...

I use my mobile as an alarm clock. The N-gage is not really up to the job. Firstly it does not have the functionality for a 'recurrence' rule (i.e. so you can just get it to go off during a weekday, fro example). I sorted this out (i think) by downloading something called 'Handy Clock'.

My next problem is that I cannot find anyway to change the Alarm tone or volume - being late for work on your first day of using it is a little off putting! 😊

So i called the 'club Nokia' helpdesk and apparently it does not have simple alarm configurations "because it's meant to be for games". Can anyone help, or tell me where there are some clued Symbian software writers who like writing code for free 😊

skids

If you go to www.my-symbian.com then click on the series 60 section then downloads... in the search box type system tools and it will bring up a program called system tools. install that and there is a section in that where you can set recurring alarms by day, week, working week, month etc...

hope this helps

Hi, thanks for replying. Thanks, this helps out with the recurrance rules etc. But what i am really after is how i can change the alarm sound (to something more alarming) and how to increase the alarm volume. any ideas....anyone?

What about World Clock from Psiloc.

Although at this moment in time they do not say will work with N-Gage (or even 6600), but they do have trial versions and should fulfill all your requirements if works (including changing the alarm tone).
