During startup (which seems to take at least 30 seconds until the main screen appears) the picture of the shaking hands comes up but the music either doesn't play at all or else just plays a short part of the tone (different each time). It never plays the whole tone. Is there any fix for this or is it possible to turn the startup tone off (like you could in my old 6310i)?

i think that is not a problem... or a bug to be fixed...
i think that happen because the speed of startup is faster than tune and hands anim loading, showing and playing process... may be when you have more installed apps, more tasks will needed to be loaded on startup... then tune and hands anim will get more time to be loaded and you'll see it right.

NOTE: i don't have a 6600 yet... it came to my hands next monday 😃 , but i notice this on my actual 7650. But anyway i turned off all the intro thing. how?... assign any image for the welcome logo then delete that image file, now you get a BLANK startup and a little faster.
