Problem receiving SMS

Hallo Everybody!

I recently got my 7650 and I love it, but I encountered one problem: sms (not MMS!) messages sometimes are not displayed on my phone. The sender (even me, when i send a testmsg to myself) gets a delivery confirmation without delay. I even checked back with my telco-provider, he checked on the server, msg(s) delivered. When I turn the phone off and back on, surprise, 8 new msgs... 😮
I used the software Active Desk in its 1.0 Version before and thought this was the reason, so I removed it, it still happend. Went to Nokia Service Center after they told me on the hotline "this is a known problem, come and we install the newest version of the OS". Was there, they checked, I have the newest version... :evil: they reformated the phone.
So, now I'm waiting if it happens again and wanted to know if someone around here had a similar experience or even has a solution 😃 ?!

Hi stargoose (you gotta get an avatar with a name like that!),

I've not encountered anything like that. My first guess would be to ask if you've got GPRS to be on 'When available'. Try switching it to 'When required' and see if that makes a difference - the manual says that this affects cell broadcasts, maybe it affects how the phone responds to SMS also.
