Get error syncing Outlook Calendar...

2 replies · 4,170 views · Started 25 November 2003

The error is:
"Sync"

(x) Type Misspatch, or the value "2003-11-26" in the condition is not valid.

Following a message that sync is aborted.

The date is always one day ahead of the present day.

Syncing all other items but the calender is OK

I have tried the following on requests from SEM support.

1. Repair Outlook
2. Reset P900 / reset Calendar only
3. Re-Install PC Suite (2.01)
4. Re-Install Drivers for SyncStation
5. Created a new .pst folder locally on Outlook , added a calenar
Folder, set the sync to tync againts this.
6. Syn on off-line mode.

I am running Windows 2k and Office 2k.

All results end up at the same error, once the date was one day behind. but the error message itself was the same.

I am also syncing this P900 with my Mac running OSX 10.3 and iSync 1.2 and this works GREAT, no problem so I am guessing that there is a problem on the Windows PZ.

Anybody has a solution or a workaround?
Are there any other PC sync softwares that I can buy that will work better??

Thanks. Jonas

There's something corrupted in either Outlook or your PC suite.. Do you have Norton running by any chance? I know Outlook as the security feature which allows one to access information (sync) per permission only. Make sure you are using the PC suite from the disc. Moreoever, make sure nothing else is running in the background... I have had no issues syncing any parts of Yahoo with my P800 or P900.. So I would suggest you bite the bullet and format your PC if you can not resolve this.. As I stated, I believe you might have a corrupted file that Win2k might be referrencing.

I've got the same problem with my P900. I can sync everything appart from the calendar. I've tried to different computers, both running XP and Norton. Same result: all items appear to sync appart from calendar. The error massage sounds something like: no AMIN found, please set outlook to be your default program and restart outlook. I've done this without success. Any ideas?
