BAck up 800 to a 900??

i am thinking of getting the P900 and would like to keep all my settings as they are on my P800.
Is it possible to restore a P800 back up to a P900 phone??

No, not possible, at least not recommended. There are other solutions on how to transfer contacts, calendar entries, jotter notes etc., just search the forum to find out more.

All (most) of your 3'rd party software needs to be reinstalled, at least those who use your IMEI number for registration purposes. You can simply e-mail the developers of the programs you might have bought for your P800, and give them your new P900 IMEI number to reregister the software for your P900. Most developers will give you a new code for free, while others will charge you a small upgrade fee.

If you have many freeware programs and pictures, videos, mp3's, documents etc. stored on a MS DUO you plan to use with the P900 also, you can simply place it in your new P900, and everything will be recognized. But be aware that most of the programs will then not appear in your "Uninstall" menu, and you have to manually remove them (.app files etc.) using a file manager.
