IR or MMC writer

I am new to all of this and want to ask, i do not have a IR port on my PC so can I use a MMC writer to put files on my phone? Or buy a IR port?

Sure you can use an MMC-writer, but when you have to remove the battery every time you want to copy a file or install a program...

If you are planning to buy an IR-Connector anyway, I suggest you should buy an Bluetooth-dongle.
(I got mine for about 30�, so it isn�t that expensive...)

I bought the MMc writer cause that was the only thing I found for now! Where do I write the files to in my mmc. When it opens up I get 4 folders a 101, preloaded,system and video.
