just go to Sony Ericsson's website --> Support --> Global Support
then select your country, network provider, your phone, and insert your number, and u'll get the settings as an Auto Stup SMS that would do the job for u 😉

I have the same problems on Vodafone, I'm just about to call them now, for the 4th time....

with vodafone, don't you have to have the handset customized by vodafone live so that when you log into the portal, it'll recognize that you are accessing from a vodafone handset and so it'll let you pass? when i try to log into orange dot net's emails from my handset using my pc's internet connection, it comes up with an error message saying that it's not an orange connection detected, or something like that anyway. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
