Themes on the 6600 (again!)

Sorry to sound a bit dense, but when how do you install a downloaded theme on the 6600?? I send it to my phone by-way of bluetooth, get the message saying that I have a new message, but when I try to save it it will just save an image and not give me the option to save it as a theme!! Please help!

yes, the file is automatically saved in gallery.

then you would have to use the fexplorer to find the file and cut and paste it to where the climber.mbm is located and rename the originial climber.mbm.

the new downloaded theme should be renamed to climber.mbm so when u choose the climber.mbm theme it would recognize the new one.

the climber.mbm is in drive E:\system\skin

So where is this fexplorer? I have only had the phone a few days and am still getting used to it. How do you cut and copy the file from the gallery to the skin folder. Could you post some step by step guides to do this?
Sorry again, it's embarrasing to be this thick!

its ok, i myself was kinda confuse with this .mbm thingie.

just post ur email add or better yet send me an email

[email protected] then i'll send u the fexplorer file. it's a better file manager than the one installed by nokia.

u can browse all ur folders/files there using the explorer.

just be sure u downloaded the original climber theme using wap. just search the topics about themes regarding the climber.mbm site.

I'm using the Crystalized theme on the 6600.

My Climber mbm is found in :

C: System : SKINS

In the SKINS folder there are 4 or 5 different folders with some names/numbers,..go into one of them,..there you should find Climber.MBM.

Rename it in there 😊

And yes,..I use EPOCWARE's Handyfile,..works great 😊

What are you all on about???????????
If you download the sis file to your pc then transfer via Pc Suite into install files there is no problem whatsoever**************all this talk about mbn, explorer, triple A over head manifold sprockets etc...MMMmm

I suggest you READ THE DATES of the replies !!!

When themes came along there was NOT any SIS files,...
only MBM....

So TRY reading the posts before saying something stupid like "WHAT ARE YOU ON"
